The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) is treating the tragic deaths of a Polish family of three in Ballymena as a suspected double murder-suicide.
The bodies of a 41-year-old man, a 39-year-old woman, and their 8-year-old daughter were discovered at a home in Cullybackey Road area around 9:00 am on Monday, July 13, 2026.
Police are treating the incident as a murder-suicide and are not seeking any other suspects, according to Superintendent William Calderwood. The parents were Polish citizens, and the child was born in Northern Ireland.
Condolences were offered by Honorary Consul for Poland, Jerome Mullen, and officers who attended the scene are receiving support.
