Man in His 30s Rushed to Hospital After Stabbing in Limerick

A man in his 30s has been hospitalised following a stabbing incident at a residential address in the John Carew Park area of Limerick city on Sunday morning, January 25, 2026.

Gardaí and emergency services responded to the scene shortly after 10:30am, where the injured man was found with at least one stab wound to the side of his abdomen. He was transported by ambulance to University Hospital Limerick for treatment and is understood to be in stable condition.

The scene at the address on the south side of the city has been preserved for technical examination, and Garda forensic teams remain on site as part of an ongoing investigation. At this stage, authorities have not publicly confirmed any arrests or released details on a suspected motive.
