An investigation is ongoing following the discovery of a man’s body at a recycling centre in Clondalkin, Dublin, on Friday evening.
The man has been identified by Gardaí as 35-year-old Andrew Haire, who was known to use welfare and homeless services in both Dublin and Cork city centres. His body was found at the facility shortly after 9pm.
The Office of the Chief State Pathologist and the Garda National Technical Bureau were notified, and the body was subsequently removed from the scene. A post-mortem examination has been completed, though the results have not been released for operational reasons.
Gardaí have launched a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mr Haire’s death, with a senior investigating officer assigned to the case. A family liaison officer is also supporting his relatives.
Investigators are appealing for information regarding Mr Haire’s movements between Friday, July 17 and Friday, July 24. It is believed he had been in Dublin, Kilkenny, and Cork city centres during that period.
