Three people hospitalised after shooting in Ennis, County Clare.

A man in his 50s is receiving treatment for gunshot wounds and two other occupants were also taken to UHL as a precautionary measure.

An investigation is underway after a shooting incident at a residential property in Ennis, County Clare, left three people hospitalised.

The firearm was discharged shortly after 7:00 AM at a house in the Dún Na Hinse residential area. Emergency services transported a man in his 50s to University Hospital Limerick (UHL) to receive treatment for gunshot wounds. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Two other occupants who were present inside the home at the time of the shooting were also taken to UHL as a precautionary measure. Gardaí have cordoned off the scene in Dún Na Hinse to allow for a full forensic and technical examination. No arrests have been made at this time.
