Man in 50s Hospitalised After Hit-and-Run in North Belfast - Driver Arrested

A man in his 50s has been taken to hospital following a hit-and-run incident in north Belfast.

NORTH BELFAST — A man in his 50s has been taken to hospital following a hit-and-run incident in north Belfast.

The pedestrian was struck on Glandore Avenue at approximately 6:10pm on Monday, 20 July 2026. Police, ambulance staff and an air ambulance crew attended the scene.

The man was treated at the scene before being transferred by ambulance to the Royal Victoria Hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Arrest

A 35-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of:

Dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm

Associated driving offences
