A man has been taken to hospital after sustaining stab wounds to his leg and torso during an incident in Belfast city centre.
The attack is believed to have occurred following an altercation involving several individuals in the Bank Square area on Saturday evening. Police received a report at approximately 8:30pm that a man in his 30s had been seriously injured.
The victim was transported to hospital, where his injuries are described as serious but not currently life-threatening.
A 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. He remains in police custody as enquiries continue.
Detective Sergeant McGearty confirmed that the investigation is ongoing and has appealed for information from the public. Anyone who may be able to assist is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1530 25/07/26.
