Enoch Burke Remains at Wilson’s Hospital School as High Court Orders Him to Appear Again

Enoch Burke at Wilson’s Hospital School as High Court Orders Him to Appear Again

Enoch Burke at Wilson’s Hospital School this afternoon, amid developments indicating he may once again face imprisonment after being directed to return to the High Court tomorrow.

L.T.T Media understands that Mr Burke became aware earlier today, after being approached by members of the media and others, that the High Court has requested his attendance at a hearing scheduled for 2pm tomorrow.

The hearing is expected to relate to Mr Burke’s continued presence at the school, despite existing court orders barring him from entering the premises following his dismissal.

Mr Burke was released from Mountjoy Prison yesterday after serving his most recent sentence for contempt of court. However, less than 24 hours later, he returned to Wilson’s Hospital School, maintaining that his actions are guided by his conscience and religious beliefs.

Legal sources indicate the High Court is likely to consider whether Mr Burke has once again breached injunctions currently in force. Should the court find him in contempt, he could be returned to custody, marking the fifth time he has been jailed in connection with the case.

The situation continues to draw significant public attention, with supporters arguing that Mr Burke is standing firm on matters of belief, while critics contend that repeated defiance of court orders undermines the authority of the courts.

At the time of publication, no formal statement has been issued by the courts or by Wilson’s Hospital School regarding today’s developments.

The matter is due to return before the High Court tomorrow afternoon.
